Today , The Lord Jesus Christ is in His unchanging priesthood, and He “ever liveth to make intersession for us, wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come to God by Him” (Hebrews 7:25)..This makes our lives so meaningful.
When we, at one point of time choose to pray the prayer of salvation by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, our human spirit was made alive by God. Yes, the Lord is always near to them that are of a broken and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit, in Psalm 34:18. It is the human spirit of a man that is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the innermost parts of his being. Prayer can only be in the realm of human spirit of a man, it can never be a fleshly activity of any kind. That is why the psalmist prayed to God to renew a right spirit within him.
Jesus said in Matthew 21:13, “My house shall be called a house of Prayer. “Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The human spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak” says Jesus Christ in Mark 14:38. Yes, the human spirit in us is always ready. But, thank God for the Holy Spirit of God in us. The Holy Spirit of God in us helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Holy Spirit of God itself maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered.
Thank God that He has given us the privilege of praying so that we can hear and have a right relationship with Him, to go to Him and hear from heaven. It is our privilege to pray and live in the confidence that our Heavenly Father has heard us.
Unless we, as believers, humble ourselves and pray, there is no way under heaven, our nation will we revival.
